Front Desk Hours

Due to staffing shortages, the Front Desk may periodically close at lunch and/or earlier than usual (5:00PM).  Should you be arriving after this time, please be sure to contact the Front Desk (808-923-1856) so that we may provide you with after hours check in instructions. 

Pool Hours

Due to building construction, starting on Monday, April 22, 2024, until further notice, the pool has modified hours:

Open - Monday -  Friday: 3:00PM - 10:00PM and Saturday/Sunday: 8:00AM - 10:00PM

The pool will be closed weekdays from 8:00AM - 3:00PM.

 

Renovation/Construction Projects
Exterior Painting

An exterior painting and spalling project began at the resort on October 3, 2022. This project will take 1.5 - 2.5 years to complete. We do not have a specific end date for the project at this time, however it may include construction work on your lanai and/or window area which may be loud, dusty, and/or disruptive at times, with workers being on or near your lanai. This also may affect the pool and BBQ areas as needed.

Front Desk Hours

Please note that, due to staffing shortages, the Front Desk (check in office) located at the Royal Kuhio (for all Waikiki properties - Aloha Towers, Fairway Villa, Waikiki Sky Towers and The Royal Kuhio), may be closing at 5:00pm instead of 7:00pm as needed, as well as at lunch. 

If you will be arriving after 5:00PM, PLEASE make sure that we have an accurate cell phone and email address on file that you can access upon arrival.  We will email and/or text you late arrival info which may include lockbox information. 

Should you have any difficulties upon arrival, please see security at the Royal Kuhio who will be able to reach a VI employee. 

After Hours Check-in: Any guest checking in at the Royal Kuhio after office hours (7pm-8am) will get their keys from a lock box rather than from the security guards. It is very important to make sure that we are provided with your correct contact information (email and/or cell phone) on your reservation so the resort can provide you with important arrival information on your day of arrival.       

Parking:  Upon arriving, parking is permitted at the front entrance on Kuhio Avenue for registration and unloading luggage.  Parking instructions will be given at check-in. When checking in after hours, please review the parking instructions to avoid being towed.

Due to the construction of the building, your assigned parking space can only accommodate compact cars, mini vans and smaller SUVs with a maximum of height of 6'6".

Laundry:  A coin operated laundry is located within the building.  The units do not have washer and dryer.

EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.

EZ Access Units: Come equipped with an open roll-in shower with fold down shower seats but not a bathtub.  The toilet is in the enclosed area of the shower.  The bedroom is separated from the living room by a sliding door only. Kitchens and bathrooms have lowered sinks and countertops.

ADA Kits: Offered upon request.

One Bedroom interior units:  The bedroom is separated from the living room by a sliding door only.  The bathroom can only be accessed through the bedroom, therefore, recommended for two persons only.

Internet Access: Free WIFI internet access is located in all rooms.

Resort Activities

Due to unexpected maintenance or other issues, there is always the possibility that the Recreation Areas may be closed or otherwise unavailable.  Please see building signage for information as applicable.

Fees/Taxes

Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy Policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No Pet Policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts.

No Smoking Policy: $350.00. Smoking and vaping (tobacco or Cannabis) are not allowed in rooms, on decks, lanais or patio.

Late Check-Out Policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

 

Fees

Accommodations/Lodging Tax: As required by state and local regulations, this nightly tax rate is based on condominium size and season and charged at the current rate upon arrival.
