Around the Resort:
Government St. Water Main Replacement Project:January 2025 - July 2025, the City of Victoria will be replacing a water main on Government St (from Yates St - Pandora St.)Impacts of this work will be: -Construction noise -Traffic lane restrictions -Temporary loss of some on street parking (our parking at the Best Western will not be impacted)Work is expected to take place from 8am - 7pm, Monday - Friday.
Government Street Refresh project:Beginning in 2026, the City of Victoria is planning construction along Government St to widen sidewalks, adding additional street trees, street furniture and flex spaces for programs and patios.

Ferry Reservations: For those coming from the mainland by ferry, reservations are highly recommended.
Parking: Valet parking at the 'Best Western Carlton Plaza Hotel' (1.5 blocks away) is available for a nightly rate of $21.00, and can be paid for at our front desk. This is the nearest long-term parking as there is no parking onsite.
Paid street parking and parkade parking times have been extended (as of May 1, 2023) to 8am-8pm. Street parking is limited to 1½ hours max during paid parking hours.

Office Hours: 10am-6pm daily.
After-Hours Check-in: If you are arriving outside of these hours, please call the front desk (250-940-7650) within our business hours to arrange your after-hours check-in. There is a emergency after-hour number posted at the front door should you need it.
Two Bedroom units One bedroom is on the main floor, while the other bedroom is in a loft that is open to the living room, with a full set of stairs to reach it. The laundry facilities are in the loft as well. The bathroom, kitchen, and living room are on the main floor.

Coffee: Keurig coffee makers have been placed in each unit. Additional pods can be purchased from the front desk for $1 per pod. There are also drip coffee makers in each unit for those bringing their own coffee.
Location: Royal Victoria Suites is located between Johnson and Pandora on Government street. This resort is located in an urban downtown setting.
NO Bike Storage Onsite:Due to space limitation, there is NO bike storage on site. Units cannot accommodate bicycles.

Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.
Over-occupancy policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.
No pet policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts.
No smoking policy: $350.00. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, balconies or rooftop deck.
Late check-out policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

Additional Key Card Bracelets: $1 each
Additional Keurig Coffee Pods: $1 each
Laundry Detergent (single use box): $1 each
Valet Parking: $21 per night from the Best Western
After-hours lockout fee: $35.00
After-hours safe lockout fee: $200.00
Mid-stay cleans (no fee) only occur for stays of more than 9 nights. Additional maid service requested will be charged the following based on unit size: 1 bedroom-$75.00, 2 bedroom-$85.00.
Linen exchanges must be requested 24 hours in advance and will be assessed the following fees based on unit size: 1 bedroom-$15.00, 2 bedroom-$20.00.
Onsite charges at VI Managed resorts in Canada: All payments taken at VI managed resorts in Canada (Clock Tower, Rosewood, Royal Victoria Suites, and Pinnacle Lodge), are processed in Canadian currency. These charges include applicable taxes and incidentals (including food and beverage fees at Rosewood and Pinnacle Lodge).
There is no change in how taxes are processed at 3rd party managed resorts. For more information, read the FAQ’s here.
Taxes: All reservations made for travel to VI Resorts in Canada will be charged Canada’s (PST/GST) tax. Taxes for reservations to non-VI managed resorts, including VI at Rosedale on Robson, will be added to members account and billed after travel.
