During wildfire season, there is a posibility of road closures/detours and diminished air quality.

Winter Weather: The resort is located at 7,500 ft elevation and weather is volatile with snow falling late fall and early winter. We recommend chains, windshield scraper and shovel.  If renting a vehicle for your stay, we recommend a four-wheel drive.  Snow accumulation can vary from one inch to four feet during a storm.  Check road conditions at the following website:

Airport Shuttle: Shuttle service is available from the Reno Airport via the South Tahoe Express to the Casino area.  Rates and schedules can be found at www.southtahoeexpress.com or call toll free 1.866.89.Tahoe (82463).

Transportation: Public transportation does not cover most of the Lake Tahoe area and taxi service is expensive.  There is a shuttle to/from the downtown casinos which stops hourly from 7am to 6:30 pm for a fee.  For local routes, scheduled and fares check here http://www.tahoetransportation.org/transit/south-shore-services or call (530) 541-7149.

Resort Info

Elevation:  Kingsbury of Tahoe is at 7,500 ft. elevation.  Those with health problems may wish to consult their physician.

Access:  There is an elevator serving all floors and there are no interior stairs in the units.  The elevator can accommodate a wheelchair.  There is one two bedroom easy-access unit at this property and one designated handicapped parking space. 

2 Bedroom EZ Access Units offer walk-in shower and shower seat, roll-up sink in kitchen and bathroom & lowered microwave.

EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.

Air Conditioning:  Units are not air conditioned, but are equipped with ceiling and box fans.

Hot Tub and Swimming Pool: The community pool is closing for the season on September 26th. The Spa remains open year-round 10AM to 8PM. This will be strictly enforced by the Tahoe Village Homeowner Association and local law enforcement.

WIFI: Complimentary WIFI is available in your condominium.

Wildlife Warning: We have had bear sightings and cars damaged by the same bears due to food left in cars and cars left unlocked. Please do not leave food, bags, or wrappers of any kind of snacks in your car. Remember to lock the car doors.

Community Pool and Hot Tub

The community pool is closing for the season on September 26th. The Spa remains open year-round 10AM to 8PM. This will be strictly enforced by the Tahoe Village Homeowner Association and local law enforcement.

 

Fees/Taxes

Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No pet policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts. 

No smoking policy: $350.00. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, decks, lanais or patios.

Late check-out policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.  $50.00 after-hours lock out fee

Extra Cleaning: 2bd $125, 3bd PH $200. Please remove all trash from unit, load and start dishwasher.
