Renovations:
Papakea Interior Renovation Project begins May17th, 2024 thru June 2, 2026, starting with building A, then alphabetically. Each building will be tent fumigated, prior to the start of the renovation project. Buildings being renovated will be closed, with no occupancy.
Renovations:The Association at Papakea has a pipe replacement project planned from 10/22/24 – 6/14/25. It is a rolling schedule, so the units that VI has in buildings C, D and E will be pulled during a portion of that time for the project. During the construction there may be interruptions in power/phone/internet if contractor accidentally cuts underground lines. We expect the common area and parking to be impacted as well.

The front desk hours are 7:00AM - 10:00PM daily

VI Front Desk Hours:VI Office hours on Thanksgiving Day - 8am -3pm, closed for lunch 12-1pm
Check-in: Please check-in at the Papakea office in the Papakea resort lobby. For any questions regarding housekeeping or maintenance, please contact the VI check-in office. Effective April 1, 2024, the VI office is located at Kahana Gateway Center.
EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.
VI Staff: There are no VI personnel onsite at Papakea; concerns should be directed to the VI staff located at Kahana Gateway Center, as of April 1, 2024.
Emotional Support Animals are not allowed at this resort. Only Service Animals are allowed.
Air Conditioning: The living rooms are equipped with a single room window-affixed air conditioning unit.
Views: All units have garden views.
WIFI: WIFI internet is available at no cost in all units.

- Fees/Taxes
Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.
Over-occupancy Policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.
No Pet Policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts.
No Smoking Policy: $350.00. Smoking and vaping (tobacco or Cannabis) are not allowed in rooms, on decks, lanais or patio.
Late Check-Out Policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.
After Hours Safe Lock Out Fee: $200.00
Fees
Accommodations/Lodging Tax: As required by state and local regulations, this nightly tax rate is based on condominium size and season and charged at the current rate upon arrival.

Papakea Resort Fee: The Papakea Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) collects a resort fee. This fee, applicable to everyone including residents, renters, time share guests, and owners, is in lieu of a parking fee and includes free local calls and free Wi-Fi. Resort fees are common and accepted practices in West Maui and in Hawaii, in general.Effective July 1, 2024, the fee is $25.00 per night. It will be collected at check-out, by the Papakea Front Desk, as it is not a VI fee.
Lost or damaged pool towels fee: $15.00
Crib/rollway rental: $5.00 per night
