Renovation/Construction Projects
Renovation Projects

St James Building: The HOA has approved a roof and skylight replacement project, beginning July 8, 2024 with an anticipated completion of July 22, 2024. Anticipate loud noises from roof and possible falling debris from ceilings. Driveway and garages will not be accessible, parking available on gravel strip adjacent to property. Project work days/hours are Monday thru Saturday, 8AM-6PM.  

At St. James, an exterior pressure washing and painting project will run from August 26-September 19, 2024. Expect noises high intensity pressure washing. Driveway and garages will not be accessible for duration of project. Parking available on gravel strip adjacent to property. Decks will not be accessible during project. Anticipate view windows to be blocked to protect from paint overspray. Front door will be accessible with gap in plastic during this portion of project.

New York Building: Exercise room deck will be repaired during the month of July. Exercise room will be closed during repairs but the Ocean Shores Community Club will still be open for use.

Road Closures

Scheduled road closure: SR-109  (from Hoquiam to Ocean Shores) detouring to US-101 during July and August. Follow detour signs.

Road Conditions:  Due to unpredictable weather patterns or road closures, check the road conditions before choosing your itinerary by logging on www.wsdot.wa.gov.

EV Charging at Beachcomber:

Level 2 Destination Chargers are located in the Beachcomber parking area. The 4 stations use the “ENEL X WAY” app 

  • Tip: It is recommended you download the app, register, and save a credit card in the app prior to arrival so you can simply begin your charge session when you arrive.
  • The current rate of $ 0.42 per kWh is set by the provider.
  • Tesla vehicles will require the J1772 Adapter included with their vehicle.

Out of courtesy for other EV owners, please monitor your charging session in the app and relocate your vehicle to another open space when you reach the desired charge level.

Resort Info

Check-in location:  Please note that all Point Brown reservations check-in at the Beachcomber Resort, 813 Ocean Shores Blvd. NW, Ocean Shores, WA 98569 (Phone: (360) 289-2710). The check-in office may be closed for lunch every day for 1 hour.

EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.

Access:  There are stairs throughout the property.

  • New York - There are ramps leading to the building and there is an elevator.
  • Atlantic, Pennsylvania, St. James - There are no ramps or elevators. 

EZ Access Units located in New York Building offers roll-in showers, wider bathroom doors wheelchair accessible kitchen sinks & lowered kitchen countertops. Range control knobs are located at the front of appliance for reachability.

Internet access is available in each condominium, lobby and great room. 

Atlantic and St James buildings: The individual unit garages are designed for smaller passenger vehicles, larger vehicles (pickups/full size SUVs) may not fit, and will need to park in outdoor parking areas.

Resort Activities

Ocean Shores Community Club (pools, fitness center, etc.) is open. Club rules MUST be followed while using club facilities. Phone the club at (360) 289-2433 or visit their website: https://oceanshorescc.com/

Fees/Taxes

Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No pet policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts. 

No smoking policy: $350.00. Smoking and vaping (tobacco or Cannabis) are not allowed in rooms, on decks, lanais or patio.

Late check-out policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

$25.00 after-hours lock out fee

$2.00 room key replacement fee

$25.00 lost or damaged pool towels fee 

Accommodations/Lodging Tax: As required by state and local regulations, this nightly tax rate is based on condominium size and season and charged at the current rate upon arrival.
